Lousy Verizon customer service

I just recently visited a Verizon store on Rojay Drive, in Lexington, KY.  I have an expensive, rugged, waterproof phone.  The seal on the charging USB plug became loose and fell off.  I have a service plan on this phone, but when I inquired about repairs, was told, quite rudely, that the plan only covers the inside of the phone and as my problem was obviously external they would not repair it.  I have been a Verizon customer for over ten years and have never had any problems before, in fact I have always been treated quite well.  The cost of  the repair part could not be more than one tenth of the amount that I pay monthly for service.  I think that the jerk behind the counter, who never even looked up, just didn't wnt to be bothered with some thing so trivial.  Buyers beware.
